The crackle both summons a cold campfire and a Nosferatu film reel. What a fantastic atmosphere. This is everything black metal should be: dark, gothic, icy, emotive, depressed and triumphant, yet dare I say, romantic. Romance in the modern sense as well as in the older sense of passion and drama, stage plays in dim and melancholy theatres. The pacing and breath within and between songs is also phenomenal. Wow, what a record. pinkytheent
IF this album has a weak point, it's that it doesn't last at leas two hours. However, if the music didn't end, then we couldn't hear the amazing concluding track. Seriously, this album is indeed masterful, driven by impeccable vocals, epic synths, & visionary writing. If these melodies don't make your heart soar with wonder, you'd better check your pulse. Through-and-through, a unique and mesmerizing album. FalconPilot
"The chosen one" is of the same quality as "Chapter One: Across The Mountains Of The Drämmarskol". Maybe a bit less epic or ambient, but still very melodic, dynamic and full of atmosphere. Timeless melodic black metal! Looking forward to a new full release! H.L.
An outstanding slab of atmospheric black metal, “Sisyphus” cannily blends texture and terror for a gripping final product. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 7, 2021
